First-Person Shooter La Quimera Faces Launch Delay

According to a report from GamingBolt, La Quimera, the upcoming futuristic first-person shooter from Reburn Studio, has officially been delayed. Originally scheduled to launch on April 25, 2025 for PC, the game's release has been postponed due to unforeseen challenges.

Reburn Studio Addresses the Delay

Dmytro Lymar, CEO of Reburn Studio, issued an apology to fans through the studio’s official Discord channel. He assured the community that the team is working hard to resolve the issues and remains committed to releasing La Quimera as soon as possible. Lymar also mentioned that the team is managing the challenging circumstances currently affecting Ukraine.

Ongoing Technical Work and Community Reactions

In addition, the studio posted a news update on Steam, explaining that they are focusing on fixing the technical problems in the game. While no new release date has been announced yet, the developers are hopeful to provide a timeline soon.
Despite the team's efforts, early feedback from players and media has been mixed. Both Wccftech and XboxEra criticized the game for its disjointed narrative and technical shortcomings. Wccftech highlighted disruptions in gameplay, while XboxEra pointed out the significant difference between the actual playtime of 125 minutes and the advertised five-hour experience.
Both media outlets rated La Quimera a 4 out of 10, emphasizing the lack of memorable characters and weak storytelling across its three missions.

Future of La Quimera

While La Quimera has faced initial criticism, Reburn Studio continues to focus on polishing the game. Fans hope that the additional development time will enhance the gameplay experience and deliver a more refined final product.
